A.Y. Jackson – The Truth!

by Barbara on August 19, 2010

Good Morning!

The other day I posted a blog about A.Y Jackson.  (Still wanting to go to the island and swim and play and paint and take pictures…)

that hasn’t changed but the story behind the sketch has!

My Mom: AKA Mother Nature , Historian and general all round Story Teller CORRECTED me!  So with all do diligence, due?  Doo?  Scooby Doo?

I must send on this correction to you! I do try to be as honest as possible. Really!

Ok so, below is a picture of the sketch

The sketch being on the Pine Islands was actually of the 3 Art’s – A.L. is A. Lismer, A.R  is Arthur Russell ( my Great Grand Dad) and A.W. is Art Wallis the fishing guide.

The funny thing: The  crow is A.W’s pet crow that played dead. Who Knew!!

Ok so there is the truth – I was actually completely wrong!  But I hear that the Pine Islands still have great fishing!

Love Barb

p.s.  Thanks for the picture Patty!  Love you!
